We are pleased to cordially invite you to attend the Orthodox Youth Mission Team’s Reunion Gala on Saturday, November 26th in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The evening will bring together past and present participants, benefactors, clergy, and friends and family that have been involved with OYMT throughout the past twelve years of service. We’ll celebrate TEN successful mission trips, and all proceeds will contribute to future service.

If you have any special physical memorabilia from any of the trips, we’d love to see that brought to the event for showcase as well.

We are fortunate enough to have had 106 people from the Tri-State Area alone participate in at least one OYMT trip over the past twelve years, and the majority returned for at least a second year. If you include participants from other states at our all-OYMT ASP centers in 2018, 2019, and 2022, that number tops 200. We truly hope to see as many former participants as possible at this event, so that it may be a true reunion and celebration of OYMT’s growth and service.

At this first meeting, we will have a chance to meet new team members, get an overview of this year’s project and start to delve into the theme for 2023.

Bring $5 for dinner, final $175 volunteer payment and complete any missing registration information before you leave.

It is imperative that we get our stock letters out before the beginning of April. If you absolutely (no way) cannot attend, please email OYMT.info@gmail.com ASAP.

Please bring your mailing list on peel and stick address labels, along with $5 for dinner.

Please join us for our mandatory tool and safety training. There will be a series of learning stations for various construction tasks. Safety is one of our top priorities on our mission trip and this session is key to making sure everyone has the proper training to do our work well and safely.

IMPORTANT: You will need work boots, long pants and t-shirts (no sleeveless shirts) for this training session (just as you will when we are working on the trip).

There will be no meal. Please bring any additional stock sales/fundraising proceeds.

Please join us for our mandatory construction training at St. Barbara’s Church in Orange, CT. There will be a working project where we practice our prior tool and safety training. Safety is one of our top priorities on our mission trip and this session is key to making sure everyone has the proper training to do our work well and safely.

IMPORTANT: Please bring/wear:

Rainjacket in case of showers
ASP work clothes: long pants, work boots, t-shirt w/sleeves
Water bottle
If you have a long sleeve shirt or an old “dad’s” button down shirt please bring—one of our jobs involves insulation.
Stock sales
$5 for lunch

We plan to end at 4:00, but may run later depending on cleanup (if everyone helps, we’re done!).

• One parent per family MUST attend this meeting. There will be paperwork to fill out or confirm. We will also give out the pack list at this time.

Bring  insurance cards and ID’s, $5 for dinner, as well as outstanding stock and fundraising monies.

Please join us for our FINAL and mandatory pack meeting. We will cover what to pack and NOT to pack, and when to have it ready.

Dinner is potluck BBQ. Last chance to bring any outstanding forms and stock.

Packed bags may be left in Danbury if you are unable to bring them on July 7.
